When installing JAWS 10, it stops during the middle of installation process and a message of send or don't send pops up. Has anyone experienced similar problem? Any suggestion on how to fix the problem? Thanks!
No I haven't experienced this problem. Are you stupid that you can't do what it tells you do? By the way, what is JAWS anyways? Is that the same thing as my mouth?
Hey, tealgreen! I don't know who you are, but why are you keep on following me around and bothering me? And if you don't know what JAWS is, well, that proves that you are not blind, because JAWS is the only screen software available for us the blind people. So, since you are not blind, GET! OFF! THIS! BOARD! AND! THE! ZONE!
Jaws is not the only screen reader for the blind friend, but that is not why I'm posting. Smile. Can you give us a bit more detales such as how you are getting Jaws? Are you installing it from the disc, or are you downloading it from the web?
Tried to install it from a disk. It is JAWS 10 professional. JAWS 8 was on the computer and when I tried to uninstall JAWS 8, got the same message, send error message or don't send. For the record, there was no error message to speak of.
Sounds like you might have other issues that are not related to Jaws, but installing programs. Fo example what virus program are you running? Try shutting it off, then install. Try downloading Jaws from the freedom Scientific website and see if that works. Do you have any other screen readers install except jaws, or magnifying programs? If so shut them down as well.
Jaws is not the only screenreading program. Window eyes? thunder? This is a stretch, but narrator? NVDA? System Access? Ok, I'm done.
Tealgreen,
That wasn't nice.
For your information, Jaws is a screen reading program for blind computer users.
If you cannot say anything nice, why are you here anyway!
How about a little more information? Are you running xp? If so which flavor, home or professional.
You can disable that error sending mechanism somewhere in your control panel, but it's been so long ago that I don't exactly remember where.
In that send/don't send box there should also be a "details" button which might give you more information about the error.
Hope this helps.
Bob
Those error details are hard to understand sometimes, since half the time they're in computer language anyway. Just a thought..
